Fitness - Health Clubs have been working with (IDS) to customize VendNetwork inventory and tracking systems to work with their point of sale programs. Allows members to use their membership cards for vending beverages, snacks - equipment; they are billed for it monthly on their statement. We have already developed Point of Sale interfaces for 123 Fit, Anytime Fitness, World Gym, and Snap Fitness; with more in the works.

Speedo Swimgear Venders Offer Poolside Convenience

LOS ANGELES Speedo USA is selling its swimsuits and accessories poolside through custom-built touchscreen vending machines.

The machines are manufactured by Des Moines, IA-based Wittern Group, parent company of Intelligent Dispensing Solutions, and feature a dynamic digital interface and machine management software developed by Las Vegas-based Retail Revolution LLC.

Speedo swimsuits, goggles, caps, arm bands and swim chamois, among other aquatic gear, can be purchased using a touchscreen user interface that displays images of each product. The monitor also displays product descriptions and size charts when applicable before making a purchase. A Web-based inventory reporting tool supports Speedo machines.

The specialty venders have been up and running at aquatic centers in Florida, Kentucky, Minnesota, New York and Ohio since the automated retailing concepts deput earlier this year. Speedo USA, a division of Warnaco Swimware, said that based on the early success, it will continue to deploy the machines at select pool, Speedo teamware dealer locations and retail sites throughtout the country.
